Visual C++ AMP

C++ Accelerated Massive Parallelism (C++ AMP) accelerates execution of C++ code by taking advantage of the data-parallel hardware that is generally present as a GPU on a discrete graphics card. In this lecture, we will examine the C++ AMP programming model, which  includes multidimensional arrays, indexing, memory transfer, tiling, and a mathematical function library. We will learn how the C++ AMP language extensions and compiler restrictions enable you to control how data is moved from the CPU to the GPU and back, and how to share memory in block matrix calculations.

Lecturer: Josh Reuben

Windows 7 & Server 2008 Reliability Mechanisms in Practice

Windows NT 6.x provides new reliability mechanisms. In this lecture we will dive into the Windows Restart Manager, a built-in watchdog, and the Kernel Transaction Manager, a mechanism that enables transactional processing of the Windows file system as well as the Windows Registry. We will learn about when and how to use these mechanisms.
